This was a horrible experience. The area was beautiful but the hotel staff, except for the front desk young girl, were disappointing. These folks clearly have no hospitably experience. The rooms are good sized, but the mattress horrible. The bathroom toilet leaked See images attached. The old TV never worked. I had to ask for roll a way bed to sleep on that instead. If you are conducting business meetings, be aware that Cell phones have no reception in this area. They have a beautiful cabana/guest house which appeared to be for the guests. But dont count on that because manager gets the first priority to use the cabana. There is a pool table, books, and a few board games.Around 10:00 am when I checked out, I asked the front desk the friendly young girl if I can hang out in the cabana to enjoy the scenery. The girl said as long as we are checked out, we could use it until 1pm. While I was relaxing with my wife and couple other senior citizens, a gentleman with a baseball cap, wearing shorts and a t-shirt walks up at 12:45pm and tells me that I cannot use this space. At this point, I am thinking who is this guy? Maybe someone who just got back from a fishing trip that had a bad day. I figured, he may be just another guest. Nicely, I responded and said, Sir, we have this room for another 15 min. And then he said, well, I have meeting at 1pm. I told him, dont worry we will leave before your meeting starts. I then walked to the front desk and asked the girl who this gentleman was. She said that he is the general manager. I then asked for his name. She said, his name is *********************. At this point, I noticed ***** standing about 15 ft away. I then told the young girl in front of ***** to confirm that I already had permission to stay at the Cabana. She confirmed. ***** then said, just leave the room by 1pm. As we were walking back to my car, ***** walked outside and apologized for his behavior. I told him that it was unprofessional how he embarrassed me in front of my family. And that he should have checked with his staff before trying to kick me out. ***** tried to make up by letting me stay a bit longer. At this point, all we wanted was to leave that hotel as soon as possible. As I was driving home, I started to see charges four $55 charges pop up on my credit card. When I called the hotel to learn about these charges were for, the rep said that I used check my email to see what they are for. When asked, please tell me what they are for, she said the charges are for the use of Shampoo, Soap, missing used towels, damages to the carpet and a late check out fee. Apparently, I am a hotel thieve and steal used towels, shampoos and soaps. I am professional and travel internationally for work for the past 16 years. I have NEVER been charged for the use of hotel shampoo and soap.I have been asking for photos of the damages, and so far they have not responded. At least they were generous to charge only $50 to replace carpet and furniture. Please see the attached invoice notes.I have paper receipt showing my checked out time at 10 am. They still charged me late check out for some reason. I am starting the dispute process with my credit card company. Buyer be aware.
