I have filed a claim in July and it is now September that I am trying to find someone to speak to and review my claim. Any phone operators that I reach are completely unhelpful and keep promising me that my clain will be resolved. I am very disappointed by this servcice and DO NOT RECOMMEND that anyone use it in future.Review from Mabel V

Absolutely the worst, the claim **** were so fast to close out my claim due to a huge mistake and they obviously didnt do their due diligence on. I have called and no answer from claim **** when being transferred i have left voicemails and no call back or nothing theyre never available, same with the supervisor of said claim rep. ********** my claim was escalated that didnt do a single thing. All documents have been submitted and it should absolutely not take them this long to reach out to me. Very upset at the fact. Would never use them again.Generali Global Assistance Response

Absolutely the worst! My best friend of 70-plus years went into ******* and died before I could get there and tho I had purchased this insurance I was denied a refund because she was not family. How would I know that was an exclusion when I purchased the ticket and cancellation insurance?? This company is an absolute fraud!!Generali Global Assistance Response

I have dealt with this insurance company twice, and they are "wicked" beyond belief, and I do not mean that in millennial terms. Their claim process is laborious, and the website is not user-friendly. Three days ago I was sent an email for receiving payment. The first day the site said they were having technical difficulties and to try again letter. Yesterday, when I tried, the site said my "ID proofing failed." Today I got the same response. They appear to be doing everything to release payment, this after I probably spent over 30 hours scanning documents from the doctor and hospital regarding my case. Right now I am only credit with a $199 canceled flight credit for my airplane fare, so after the premium cost, I will have a net of $100. I would not advise anyone buying insurance from them, and EXPEDIA should be encouraged to drop them as a provider.Generali Global Assistance Response

My experience with GENERALI WAS A TOTALL H*** I purchased flight protection plan with Generali Travel Insurance for my trip to ****** which I purchased on EXPEDIA. I was not able to proceed with my trip as I got sick, and I cancelled the trip. I promptly filed a claim with Generali and submitted patient authorization form from my doctor with all the required supporting documentation. After multiple phone calls and emails the representative ******** ******* told me that I have to call Canadian Airline to waive $100 credit towards my future flights, so I did, as I was not going to travel to ******. I submitted a screenshot of the email sent to me by ********** which confirmed that I waived the credit. But the Generali representative ******** ******* did not respond to me and closed my claim. I called him and sent follow up email several times and also left a voice mail to his supervisor but they totally ignored me. This company's job is to scam you out of your money. BBB, please explain why you gave them A+ rating? And shame on you EXPEDIA for partnering with the scammers.Generali Global Assistance Response

Submitted a claim, claim was approved but payment does not arrive .... each time I call it is different story...months waiting on payment Where I can go now ? Or escalate ? Booked a trip, paid for the insurance and had to cancel our trip due to Hurricane *****. The county in which we were going in was within the listed counties declared a state of emergency by Floridas Governor. Made a claim only to be told my claim was denied because the condo wasnt inhabitable. Yea, because we should have driven into the Hurricane that sat over the area for 3 days and dumped rain and flooded streets. What a joke but ****** learned!Generali Global Assistance Response

1st flight delay led to missed connection and missed night of lodging. Return flight delay led to missed connection and return leg delayed 2.5 days. Denied all coverage because delay was less than 10 hours and reason for delay crew sick is not a covered expense. I cant speak to anyone live. They did not help me with rebooking or resolving my issue when the flight cancelation happened.Generali Global Assistance Response

A total fraud. Paired with ******* charged my booking by default on a trip that was supposed to happen in December, and insurance was not even needed because it was free cancellation booking. I realized I was charged additional $400 after 2 months, they said it was too late to cancel for a refund, even though the trip would be cancelled. I was lied to by their agents, hang up on, and what makes this even more ridiculous is the fact that the policy was written by ****** by default to a last name that was not even mine, so even if I ever wanted to use it, I would not be able to...... Go with a reputable ***************** that has integrity, not this one. I will be complaining to Attorney ******** and here as well.Generali Global Assistance Response
