On May 24, 2025, at approximately 12:52 PM, I accessed what appeared to be Coinbase's online support via my laptop. During this interaction, I received a call from the number (628) 213-0207. The caller, a male, identified himself as a Coinbase representative and said he could not assist with my request to open an account for my children. He transferred me to another person, who introduced himself as James Lie. James spoke authoritatively and seemed familiar with my Coinbase account contents. He instructed me to transfer all my crypto holdings into BTC and then guided me to send the BTC to what he claimed was a secure Coinbase Wallet for my children. I later discovered this was a scam.
