Title of Scam: Fake Job Offer – TEMU Product Review Scam via WhatsApp Scammer’s Contact Info: WhatsApp number: +1 (404) 380-2923 Name used: Emily, recruiter at “DSL” Description of Scam: I received a message claiming to be from a recruiter named Emily at “DSL,” offering a flexible part-time job assisting TEMU merchants with product reviews. The message stated I could earn between $201 and $3,000 per day, with same-day payments and free training. The recruiter asked me to contact them via WhatsApp. There was no job application, contract, official email, or company website provided. The name of a real company (TEMU) was used to appear legitimate. Based on the unrealistic pay, the lack of professional details, and the request to communicate only via WhatsApp, I believe this is a scam. Why I believe it’s a scam: • Unrealistic earnings for simple tasks • No verifiable company information (DSL) • Uses the name of a legitimate company (TEMU) to gain trust • Requests communication via WhatsApp only • No official hiring process, contract, or verification I did not share any personal or financial information and am reporting this to help others avoid being scammed.
