Did a search on line for Norton Lifelock to get to my account and there were several websites listed. I opened one that looked genuine, and what I thought was a Norton representative chat window with the name Kate opened and asked for the help I needed. A rep then called me on the phone by the name of Paul C. (later gave the Name Payl Cambell or Campbell). I asked about the technicians and he put up a site page indicating Cloudyne. I looked it up and it said Cloudyne Technologies LTD in Alberta CA. When I looked at reviews some respondents stated it was a scam company. I thought he was a Norton rep, he was not and he diagnosed my issue and stated he and some technicians could help resolve my issue if I purchased a year or two technical agreement for any computer work now and for the next 2 years. I agreed and via credit card paid $999.99 for technical help and he was able to resolve the issue. The bad part of this is I allowed him remote access to my 3 devices. He was able to view my Norton account and verified I did have an active account, but never indicated or said that he or the company was affiliated with NortonLifelock owned by Gen. At this point in time other than being out this amount of money for an issue that could have easily been resolved if I was able to talk on the phone with an actual LIVE NortonLifelock representative, I am concerned about the chance of a scam or worse, identity theft.
