I was contacted via text about a work at home position with Allos Pharma Inc., I was instructed to download MS teams, I had a 2 hour interview in teams with a Laurence White using the email [email protected], I was then contacted by the HR office with an employment offer letter by Randall Carpenter from [email protected] I completed the new hire paperwork, my W-4 and submitted my ID, giving them my SSN and DL number along with the images from my DL. Excited for this opportunity I logged on for training the next morning, and was sent a check via email to mobile deposit so that I can start purchasing software for the position. Which at this time I started to suspect something was wrong here, in the interview process they said they would be sending me a computer for use so that it could be monitored and secured for HIPPA violations, which seemed reasonable to me, but now they are sending me a check to purchase software before my computer has even arrived, and asking for a receipt from my bank when deposited. From a Rena J. White at [email protected]. I have now gotten emails from 3 different emails att from different @'s, with no company contact information. When I expressed my concern that the email was flagged for spam, I was told to "Kindly mark the email as not as spam and open the email." when i expressed concern the chat went silent. I have unfortunately given them my SSN and DL information and an hoping they only attempt to steal money and do not take it further into stealing identities.
