I had to go to Kentucky for my grandson's graduation. I tried to get a Real ID, but I didn't have enough documentation at that appointment to prove my citizenship. I then looked for my Passport and found that it had expired in February 2025. I panicked, so I went online to see if I could renew my passport through the Department of State. It would have taken 4-6 weeks to get a renewed passport. I then went online to see if there was a way to expedite the renewal. I found a company called Passport and Visas that claims to be able to renew your passport and send it to you within 3-4 days. I started the process on April 24 and did not receive my passport until May 9th. Whenever I thought we were making progress toward a resolution, they requested more documentation. I called them a total of 31 times, and I still hadn't received my passport. I had to change my flight, which cost me $388, and I hoped that the TSA would let me board a flight when I arrived at the airport. Luckily, the TSA was in a good mood, because I could get on the flight on May 10, 2025 - the day my grandson graduated in Kentucky. My passport arrived on May 10th after I had left my home. If you search online for Reddit or the Better Business Bureau, it indicates that this is a scam. I believe they cannot expedite passports, and they are charging $449 for a service that cannot provide this. They are preying on people like me who are desperate to get their passports renewed. Someone needs to stop this. I told them I want my $449 back at minimum, and the $388 I spent to change my flight.
