I got an email about a job offer for as entry level remote graphic designer for Pluton Biosciences. They sent an email using [email protected], they said I got an interview and asked my availability. I said tomorrow and they gave me a link to Microsoft teams for a chat room with with Sharon Berberich. Then I was told it was a chat only interview and asked a few questions. After around 5 questions they said they would be forwarding your interview transcripts to the hiring board for review. After a couple minutes, they said congratulations, I got the job, They said I would receive a payment (certified check), and this payment will be used to setup your mini office by purchasing the office equipment and software. They then asked me to send some information (Full name, home address, mobile phone number, home phone, and email address) to another email: [email protected]. I sent the email with my information, and then we scheduled a time to meet tomorrow on the same chat, to go over the offer letter and HR forms for starting. I told my parents about this job offer and they said, it might be a scam. After some research, I agree that this is a scam. I didn't give them any money but they mentioned a check, so I would assume that it was a way to get my bank information.
