I had to call Medicare with a question. While they had my file open, they asked me if I ever heard of or had care from Sunshine Senior Solutions, had wound care services, or knew of a certain doctor? Answer to all was NO! They had received charges from Sunshine for me totaling $15,460 from 9-24 - 2/25, $2,580.00 each month during that period. Medicare had paid Sunshine over $10,000 & sent the billing on to my secondary insurance. Medicare is now initiating a fraud investigation. These are totally fraudulent charges. I called my secondary, who had not yet paid, to warn them not to pay. Two days later I received the explanation of benefits from my secondary listing these charges. Apparently, they did not bill after each visit but waited until they had all of the bills to submit.
