I was reached out to about a job and after reviewing my resume, was offered a position. I was asked for my name, address, phone number, and email address and then asked to confirm I could sign in to the employee portal and set up an account on Telegram to continue communication until I received the company provided work equipment. Correspondence continued on Telegram, where I was informed I would be receiving a check to pay for a software license and to send proof that it was successfully deposited into my bank account. After it cleared, I was directed to a site that looked more suspicious than everything else prior to that point offering several subscription plans starting at monthly for $900. I asked about reimbursement going forward and was told the company would upgrade me to an annual plan after training. I could see communication was just going to keep pushing for me to continue with the purchase, so I confronted her about this looking like a scam at which point she deleted all correspondence on Telegram
