This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I got an email from someone named Juliet Carroway (probably fake name) telling I got hired as a Distribution Inspector asking me to respond back with “I am interested”. I got a reply back and was asked to watch an animated video with info about the position. It told me that I will be receicing a phone call the next day. I did get that call; the guy named Spence Gold (probably another fake name) has a thick filipino accent. He tells me to input info into the job contract: my full name, address, email address, a government ID back and front, and a photo of me holding that ID. I stupidly did. He told me that I will be getting another phone call from a supervisor. And that’s the end of it. It seems legit, but it’s a scam. The job is receiving products, package them, use any carrier to send them. The pay is $4500 with $45 bonus for each package totaling up to $5400 a month. The job seems too easy to be true because it is.
