Description
The scammer did not include any phone number, physical address or any other means of contact. I entered the information found on the BBB website. I tried to call the number listed and the call was answered by someone at Tenet Welding so that information isn't even correct. I received an invitation to interview for a position that I have no recollection of having applied for. After researching and trying to do my due diligence, everything I found pointed to this being a legitimate opportunity. What I failed to notice what that the email addresses provided were at outlook.com and not at planbfs.com. The "interview" was via chat in Teams. This is the second red flag that I missed. I continued with the chat and at one point there was a list of 15 questions that I was to answer. Question 10 asked about which banking institution I used, and how long I had been banking there. I declined to answer that question, and they pressed a second time for that information. I declined again and the interview ended shortly after that. I received another email this morning with an offer of employment. Several .pdf documents were attached. I have not opened any of them, nor will I. I can provide them if you would like.
