Description

I was contacted via text from a company claiming to receive my resume from the Indeed database. I was asked to schedule a job interview the very next day. The next day came, and I completed the interview via Z***. The interviewer informed me that he had a "good first impression" and said I would hear back in the afternoon if I was able to move onto the next stage. 6PM came, and I received a phone call, claiming I was chosen to move onto the next interview, which was again, the very next day bright in the morning. The next day came, and I had my interview first thing in the morning. Went fine, but had a very weird feeling in my gut about the whole thing. It was not very clear what the job actually was and what I would be doing in that role. He also made it seem like I would have 6-7 day long workweeks, which is absurd. I asked about it, and still didn't get a very clear answer. The job was strange, claiming I would be in a role that would make me a "Senior Executive" in less than a year. The entire interview felt super sketchy, but I completed it and filled out a questionnaire. I was never told when I would be hearing back, but no doubt quicker than it should be. After I got over my emotions, I decided to do some research on the company. The website seemed to be filled with AI-generated blog posts, claiming they had these huge marketing campaigns, but never showed any proof. The address led to a random office building in Austin, but the company wasn't listed anywhere in the directory. I will not be continuing with them. In my desperation to find a job, I was too blind to look at all the red flags from the beginning. - Contacting via text instead of using Indeed's internal messaging feature - Pretending to be a bot through text. It's very obvious it's a human typing it all out. The name of the recruiter changes as well, from Kendra to Destiny. - Had trouble using Z***. First meeting had me waiting 5 mins after the scheduled meeting time. Second meeting began later as well, because they never gave me the link to join. - Claimed to have a ton of Fortune 500 customers, but did not have any physical proof to show it.
