I applied for jobs on Monster and Indeed. A few days later, I received a text about an outside sales position in my area. The message instructed me to reply "Y" if interested or "STOP" to opt out—I replied with "Y." Shortly after, I received another text asking to schedule a call with Taranvir Singh from Pacer Staffing LLC. Taranvir called at the scheduled time and provided more details about the position, including location, pay, and benefits. He also verified the information on my resume—I confirmed the details but did not provide any new personal information. He then sent me an email directing me to upload my resume on Pacer Staffing’s website, where the job description matched what he had shared. I selected a time and date for a Zoom interview through the website, which stated I would receive a confirmation email and link for the meeting once it was scheduled. However, I never received the email. I attempted to follow up by calling both the office number and Taranvir’s cell multiple times but did not receive a response.
