Vincent Marino from Real Estate Professionals LLP in Boston, MA, contacted me by phone at my office in Southern California offering to buy our timeshare at Grand Solmar, located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I asked them for an offer, so they emailed one. It was a little low, so we declined. They came back with another offer that was $15,000 higher, so we accepted. We started the transaction and they introduced the escrow company, Premier Land Title LLC, at 419 N. 10th St. St. Louis, Missouri 63101, to handle the escrow. (www.premierlandtitlellc.com, (314) 500-1654). The escrow officer was Steve Williams. Anyway, as we neared the end, we were told that we had to obtain a Mexican RFC number, similar to a U.S. Social Security number to complete the transaction, at the cost of $4256.88. That's when I started digging deeper and found an identical story on this BBB website. They get you to pay that fee, then the deal falls apart, and if you try to take them to court, it has to be in New York. It's a total scam.
