I received two phone calls back to back from the same number informing me about a job opportunity. I brushed it off right then thinking it was a scam and told whoever I was talking to I could talk about it the next day and thought that was the end of it. Next day comes and they call me again telling me my skills match a position they have as a Parcel Auditor. Never heard of that but seemed legit in the moment. They told me all I needed was a printer and a tape gun because I would be receiving packages to ship back out. To my surprise, I received two packages: a 19 carat gold ring and two iPads. The ring was supposedly my “test” package to make sure I was comfortable with the process. Ok… seemed odd but still went along with it until I received the two iPads that were being shipped to a vacant lot in another state. I addressed it to them and they claim to conceal the real address for security reasons. After I shipped out my first package, they gave me a scheduled payday which at this point I knew I wasn’t receiving $4400 base pay + $50 bonus for each additional package sent out on time. Today, April 8th, I emailed one of the properties this so called business is located at and they have never heard of this place. Long story short, don’t fall for it.
