Description
I received a call from 416-240-8898 saying they are calling on behalf or Rogers/Fido with a greet offer. It was 32.00 for 80 GB., with all the bells and whistles. Drivers license and Passport Info was given. He said his name was mike at ext. 3016. said someone else from a different dept was going to be calling in 1/2. sure enough 20 mins later i received a call 236-259-2300 from someone named Jessica. She basically said the same but she asked for which bank i deal with. I told her which bank CIBC. But it wasn't mine. I let her know she didn't sound legit and she reassured me saying that rogers/fido will be sending me an email with 24 hrs. with all the details and in 4-5 days i will be receiving the sim card. She called back saying here is my new account number with Rogers/Fido *********. She would be call me back with further instructions once the email of confirmation has been sent. I called rogers and i was told that the account ********* belong to someone else. There was nothing opened with my name and info I did call 416-240-8898 voicemail said you have reach Richline Group Canada when I final got a hold of a person I ask what kind of company this was she said that her boss was not available and was unable to answer any questions. When i googled the company it said that it was permanently closed.
