I received a phone call with no caller ID, but when I answered, they said it was Cox Communications calling about my wifi and how they had sent me some emails recently about discounts for a lower rate. I answered because I work in sales and always need to be sure it is not a client. I quickly checked my email while he was talking and did not see any emails from Cox regarding discounts. He asked me a question to which I said "yes," which now concerns me regarding this scam (https://abcnews.go.com/Business/fcc-warns-consumers-phone-scam/story?id=46405703) that they have my recording and might use it for fraudulent charges. I knew it was a scam because then he said he needed to verify my security questions and asked for the name of my first pet, and I was like, "Oh yeah, no, this sounds like a scam to me. You can email me if this is real," and he tried to keep me on the phone, but then I hung up. Yikes.
