On Indeed, the ambiguous "Mijen LLC" posted a job for a Social Media Engagement Director. I applied and gave written consent for them to perform a background check. When, instead of offering an interview or giving a formal letter of acceptance, the "employer" requested an id.me profile in order to "move along with my onboarding," I did some research and found: -None of the 3 "employer names" are verifiable online -The "company address" is not occupied by any business called/affiliated with a "Mijen LLC" -The LLC is registered to a residential/home address to a Ms. ******** ****. According to public record, no ******** **** lives at the address. -The company has no contact information/phone number/website; the one website I found that had "Mijen LLC" in its "privacy statement" is skeletal at best and has no clarity on what it offers. -I requested, via Indeed message, a phone call to discuss the role and the job; my response was that the "company is run by couples who also works [sic] full time." -Indeed has 0 reviews, 0 other jobs, 0 insights, 0 contact information, and 0 other analytics on their website's profile for "Mijen LLC" It reeks of an online retail scam, possibly offshore.
