I reached out to one of the co-owners of Sleep Kings Mattress Liquidators on Facebook Marketplace. Her name is Jackie Felix. Jackie had a Facebook ad selling a brand new never been used authentic Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Hybrid King Size Mattress for $1,300. She explained to me the low price is because they are a liquidator that sells overstocked items. We agreed on the price and I purchased the mattress at their physical storefront location in Downey, CA. The other co-owner who is Jackie’s husband by the name of Manuel Felix was there at the store. Manuel did not allow me try on the mattress, because it was stacked between a dozen other mattresses and he said there’s no way he can let me try it. I assumed they are a legit business, because they have a store front, so I took a risk. He took my order and payment via Zelle, and confirmed that they are an authorized Tempurpedic dealer and reassured me that they sell only authentic Tempurpedic mattresses. Once I receive the mattress from delivery and tried it out, I could tell right away that the mattress is not a Tempurpedic, because I own the same model mattress in a queen size. Later I removed the mattress covering and discovered significant difference in the construction and material used between the mattress I bought from Mr. and Mrs. Felix versus the queen size Tempurpedic that I own. The one they sold to me was made with cheap foam material that is far from a Tempurpedic. This is a scam that I want to report to BBB, so others don’t have to suffer what I had to go through.
