My husband and I were on his Facebook marketplace looking for a new English bulldog as recently we lost ours. We clicked an AD that mentioned them being AKC registered. The person mentioned being in our area of location and after talking told us they were only charging a rehoming fee of $600. We asked to see puppies and they told us a deposit of $300 was first needed. We sent the first deposit to account and later agreed the rest would be paid in person upon dog exchange. Person later became angry we sent the money via PayPal business and ask us to resent the $300 to another PayPal account and that they would cancel the previous one. We reported it to PayPal and a case was open, they accepted to refund us the first $300 but PayPal says otherwise and we send another $300 to the 2nd account. Afterwards seller starts threatening us for more money or we won’t receive the puppy on the date that was arranged. We replied over and over to seller that $600 were already sent and no more money was to be sent until we had the dog. Seller kept sending the same message back “you have too pay me”… seller was texting us at 2 and 3 in the morning. We finally responded that we were no longer interested in puppy and simply wanted our money back. Seller ignored our message for a few hours and finally said money sent did you receive it. We never received our money back and seller now doesn’t respond back to us and we never got our puppy either. Overrall $600 lost and PayPal has not responded back yet to us either regarding the open case.
