Scammer on FB - Sarah's Teacup Yorkies Rehoming. While searching for a puppy, her add as well as others came up. She instantly responded asking if we were interested in a puppy. We told her we were looking. She told us she had 3 females ready to be rehomed. Asked us which one we were interested in. We asked several questions and of course was told if we were interested she would need a deposit of $150 to get the paperwork and process moving along. She stated she would take Zelle. We asked for phone number she gave us an email and stated that was all she would give us. She eventually did give us a phone number and an address. The address, when we looked up the address online it showed that it was an apartment, but per some of the real estate websites, it was not being rented. It was listed in Feb and taken down stating it would be ready May 1st. We told her we had a family member that lived not far who could swing by and give her the deposit in cash to which she stated she did not take visits during the week, only on weekends. We thought that was a little strange since she stated we could pick up the dog on Friday at noon. She then immediately stated if we didn't trust her that we needed to look elsewhere for a puppy. Various times in the conversation, she stated she needed the payment before proceeding. She would not give us the name of the vet, the AKC number or any other information that would allow us to really check out the authenticity of her or the puppy.
