Description

I was job searching on one of the well know job sites and applied for a job on Monday, April 3. Within 30 minutes, I received a text from POWER TRACY from DATABRICKS. She invited me to contact the HR Manager via Signal app, which I had to download to my phone. I was instructed to follow a link and contact David Barkman the HR Manager, using interview code HRD-72. I contacted David via Signal and thus began a long series of steps that were supposed to necessary for employment at Databricks. After filling out Letter of Employment, and sending him my I.D. I was told equipment to set up a home office would be sent to me and paid for by the company. Also, that they would order new phones for me to be used for company business. They ordered phones using my account, but fortunately, the orders were canceled by my phone carrier. David also tried to get me to pay for packages that were to be delivered by the end of the week, and after I told him I was no longer interested in the position, he sent a video of the packages supposedly being prepared for shipping. According to David, the packages were coming and I needed to reimburse the shipper. He tried to get me to pay using Paypal, but those transactions were blocked because Paypal stated: "We believe this could possibly be a scam, so we stepped in to protect your money." He even tried having someone send me an invoice via Paypal, but that was blocked as well. When those attempts failed, me wanted me to buy Crypto currency via Paypal, saying: "The vendor accepts Crypto." Last was an attempt to get me to wire transfer money from my financial institution. When he said I had to pay or they would not ship the packages, I ended the conversation and deleted the app.
