I called Xfinity/Comcast to negotiate a lower monthly rate. Initially offered a deal of $179/mo. with auto pay. Notified by text to call 309-459-6587 to confirm. Was told offer had expired. New offer of three years at $115/mo. but first six months was to be paid upfront with Target gift cards. I purchased a set of two gift cards, $345 each from Kroger—received text from 858-707-5768 to call 877-514-0491 as Kroger cards were not activated? Went to CVS purchased a set of two gift cards , $345 each and another set of two gift cards, $350/$340. Both sets reported were reported to me as not being activated by text from 341-465-6740 to call 866-748-1478. After purchase of the third set, I stopped. I had received a text message from 405-896-0383 that my current balance had been waived which I verified in my Xfinity app. Once I stopped buying gift cards, the balance of $231.83 reappeared in my app.
