They reached out pretending to be Mark Anderson with SmartSites for a project management job and sent me a 15 question questionnaire about project management. I answered the questions and they reached out a couple days later with a congratulations and an HR email to send some information to (not social security) then they sent an offer letter and when I sent it back they said they were going to send me a check to buy equipment for the work from home position. They sent the check then the next morning requested Venmo information and told me to Venmo the money to @munchkinn-2. That’s where I cut off communication. Then they called me and threatened legal action if I didn’t send them the money since they had sent me the check. That’s when I blocked the number and haven’t heard from them since
