I was contacted by a person claiming to have seen my resume on a job site and offering me an interview. I was asked to download the Microsoft teams app and through that app was “interviewed” and hired. I received onboarding emails and forms to fill out. I worked with the contact on Microsoft teams to purchase a phone and iPad, do a “background check”, and other legitimate sounding tasks. This all took several hours. I was told once I receive the phone and IPad, to ship them to vendors that will install necessary software onto them and they would be sent back to me after they are all set up.
