Description
Contacted HP support in the usual manner. Supplied phone number for a return call. Received return call presented as HP support (unfortunately scammer). I don't understand how they new we where expecting a call from HP support. For the next 5 hours he and a person from (supposedly) Cisco worked on our computers. Payment had to be authorized and the bill paid before returning control of the computer. The iInvoice read ******* (I expected Cisco) and was told they were an authorized Cisco partner. Realizing too late I researched and found this was a scam. I immediately contacted the credit card company but was told seeing as I authorized payment there was little they could do. The next time we used the computers we noticed bugs and sent them to be cleared (they will be returned in a few days). Time to change passwords. Lesson learned, I hope this warns others.
