I do not have to go over the scam journey as another person has perfectly described the incident. They first send me an email under the company name Elite Business Trips Co. it contains an invitation for a webinar. I then realize the actual company name is BWJ ( Book With Jacob). During the zoom session I am surprised that the voices of maybe over a hundred people are muted and only the co-founder speaks. It may have been a prerecorded session I am not certain. I am quite surprised at the smoothness of the hiring process. They didn’t even take a chance to get to know me or ask me questions about my work history. In plain words, there was no prior evaluation to determine if I really was a good fit for the position. As other people have already reported, the initial email tells me that the position I applied for has already been filled but upon reviewing my resume they decide I could thrive in another job they have available. Sound familiar ? Anyways, I end up paying a monthly fee of 97$ which was initially presented as some sort of booking certification. It then morphed into insurance expenses. Now bear with me here, how could this be ? I sent two consecutive subscription cancellation requests and I am waiting for a response. I will post updates here. To job seekers out there reading this post, as someone said, keep your eyes peeled, you never know what’s lurking in the shadows.
