This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I was given an electronic Visa gift card in 9/2024. Every time I tried to use it, it was declined. On 2/5/2025 I finally called them to figure out how to use the card. I was told the balance was less than $3.00. They were unable to explain where the charges came from and kept transferring me to "someone who can help". The person who sent the gift card is out $50.
