This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I saw an ad on Facebook for a Folding Walking Pad on sale for $39.99. I purchased the walking pad and received a purchase confirmation email. After a few days I did not receive any tracking information so I tried to contact the company by replying to the purchase confirmation email. The email came back as a failure notice saying the email address did not exist. I tried emailing the email address on the fake website and received another failure notice that the email address does not exist. Also, the phone number on the website does not exist. This company is a scam, was able to get my address information and take money from me.
