Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

A Facebook ad appearing to advertise highly discounted items on Wayfair.com. Upon clicking on the ad it went to a site that looked exactly like Wayfair, but the url was actually daywayfair.com. All items listed had the same highly discounted price of $52.99. Other red flag was that the customer service contact information was an @outlook email address rather than a business email address. It honestly looked legit at first glance, and the ad has been circulating on Facebook for at least a couple months.
