We were trying to get support with our netgear nighthawk router. We clicked on the first google link that came up in a search for a number to call and connected with “customer service”. The representative was rude and told us that our security protection was out of date and we needed to pay a subscription. They wanted $300 for a lifetime subscription. They sent my husband a PayPal link for payment and we ended the call and did not proceed. Please look into this scam and warn others.
