I was browsing Google for remote jobs when I came across a listing from a LoveBound Destinations company. I Googled them and found a website filled with their job postings and nothing else. After a few days of waiting, I received an email saying that I was not fit for the position I had applied for, instead, I was to join a Zoom meeting to discuss another opportunity. This is where it starts to raise red flags. The email states that you have to attend if you want the position upon joining Zoom there were at least thirty others not including myself and the supposed Co-founder Mark (no last name). During the meeting Mark talked a lot about the company and the pros that came with it; for instance, he stated that they did not limit vacation days, and they would pay for any vacations you took up to 30-40%. He went on to say that they would purchase insurance for mistakes which was $2 million a person. During the meeting, you had to have the camera on, and your microphone muted, you could not ask any questions verbally instead sending them directly to Mark (you could not message other people). He said that normally if you wanted to be certified to become an agent within his company you would have to pay $1,500 for classes that lasted about six months stating that you would only have to pay $60 to be certified instead. He then sent everyone a link to a website to pay and get certified (I did not go to the website as I started getting an uneasy feeling). I asked if I could have a day to decide and stated that normally he would just fill the position but would hold it for me and gave me a phone number to text when I wanted to join (he claims that it's his personal cell phone number, after putting said number into Google there were zero results). After doing a bit more digging, I discovered they are operating under at least three different names: LoveBound Destinations, SVH Tours and Travel, as well as Booking with Jacob. None of these sites offer legitimate ways to get in contact with someone other than to ask about planning a vacation, nor was I able to find any phone numbers. The pay is purely commission based and they claim to be paid out weekly.
