Received a letter claiming I have a tax lien and offering to help me negotiate a settlement. Letter claimed to be from ECG Tax Pros. BUT the phone number on the letter did not match the one on the website. AND I’ve never paid DC taxes (I’ve always lived in Virginia). So someone is pretending to be ECG TaxPros and trying to get them to call a phony number that I could not find anywhere online. The letter claims BBB A+ rating which I think is true for the real ECG TaxPros.
