Description
A company called Inductivv (website - https://inductivv.com) runs a bait a switch scam involving wireless earphones. They advertise a good price for bone conduction wireless headphones. The price of the headphone changes from day to day based on my research, but in October 2024 (for Christmas presents) we purchased 2 sets of headphones + 9.95 shipping/handling for a total of $147.03. That makes the headphones roughly $69. Their deal today (looking at their website) on Jan 4, 2025 is $35. As I said, the price changes regularly and they have likely reduced the price since it is after the holidays. The website describes the product as superior sound quality with BONE CONDUCTION technology. We received two boxes of headphones in a timely manner and put them away to wrap as gifts. Our payment was processed via PayPal and the charge on my credit card indicates a company of Margin LTD DAS (which sounds foreign, somewhere in Asia I expect). Once the headphones were opened and worn by my adult son he immediately said they had a speaker and were NOT bone conduction. The are over the ear wireless earphones of minimal quality - maybe $10-$15 each - and are absolutely not the product advertised on this suspicious company’s website. They of course do not want to refund my money and I don’t believe they even offer or produce the product they advertise. Once we became aware of the problem with the product we received, we began researching the internet to see if other unsuspecting consumers had a similar experience - after all…. maybe it was just a simple mistake in shipping the wrong product? That is not the case, my son who has a degree in Computer Science (an IT guy) looked at their website and immediately picked up on several red flags (large red banner, fake user reviews, nowhere to actually leave a review, an offer to good to be true, every review is positive and each reviewer has a photo, typos and bad grammar in the information on the website, etc. etc - the whole website just screams SCAM!!!!). Users on the internet and YouTube videos warn of this “bait and switch” scam, and many people who have done business with this company may believe they have actually received the product they ordered (the wireless earphone look nice, have a speaker, connect to Bluetooth, etc. - but they are NOT bone conduction). The website, all the user reviews on the website, the product they offer, what they send you, what they do if you want a refund etc. is all just a scam! The website and this company should be shut down immediately. I have of course tried to work with them to at least give me a partial refund, which they refuse to do. I am disputing the charge with my credit card. I don’t want to give them any info (like my card number) for a refund, even if they agreed. Do not do business with this company!!! It is all a bait and switch. If you have recently received headphones from them be aware they are just wireless earphones with a speaker and DO NOT contain bone conduction technology. These cheap headphones are something you could purchase at a big box store for no more than $15. The shipping label provides information on their actual location (which could also be fake) - Inductivv, 2345 Vauxhall Road, Union NJ 07083. Inductivv is the name on their packing slip, but the name on the USPS parcel is Nu Life. I think the address is just a storage place. ALL JUST A BIG SCAM! I am hoping other users will find this information helpful and will stay clear of this entity. Be safe out there!!
