Description
I was on Facebook marketplace and saw an ad for “Dick’s sporting goods”. The ad really looked legit. I purchased an item. Put my information along with my banking card. Ordered item. Checked my email and didn’t see an email verification of purchase, so that was my first red flag. I quickly checked my banking account a seen a charge of 40.12. Second red flag was the amount was different at checkout. Third red flag was that I saw the charge was showing for ROMORYMSUSD STERLING CO. I quickly started to google and research, concluded that I got scammed. Tomorrow morning when my bank opens, I will dispute charge and hope to not have to pay money.
