I was purchasing a puppy online. I checked out what I thought was the legitimacy of the breeder. He was very detail oriented and ask multiple questions about our home environment for the puppy. I supplied the payment plus shipping. Then received an email for additional payment from the pet transport company (which is also a scam and may be the same person) for the sum of $1900 (refundable at the time of pickup) for a protective carrier for the puppy. I spoke to who I thought was the transport company but they would not provide me a business number to call and verify their legitimacy. So I didn’t pay the $1900 for a temperature controlled crate. They only wanted payment via Apple Pay. Additional phone numbers used from this scammer were : 281-733-3470, 281-702-7872. He said his name was Christopher Carswell.
