This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I applied for health insurance through a website that was disguised as a government website, in which I placed my phone number. I then get a call from 888-522-8515. They gave me a grandoise, almost too good to be true insurance policy for private insurance. They gave me a great price, and I fell for it thinking it was true. When I saw the prescription and the dental coverage, they both stated that they were only discount cards, even though the agent, Ian stated that I would be getting full coverage. I tried to call them to cancel the insurance, but they kept placing me on hold, and told me I was being too vague for trying to cancel.
