I saw an Instagram ad for a sale at Vineyard Vines, and I bought a couple items without thinking much about it. Later I noticed the email confirmation and tracking information referenced a different company and shipping firm. The tracking website updated for a few weeks - it was taking longer than promised, but I felt confident SOMETHING was going to arrive, even if it ended up being knockoff Vineyard Vines goods. Today I noticed the tracking information no longer works, and searched for the firm name that appeared on the confirmation email. That's when I realized it was unlikely anything had ever been shipped to me.
