Scam information

Description

I got an email inviting me to apply for a software engineering job. I was told to message someone on Microsoft Teams. We did a messaging interview. After that, I got an email telling me I got the job and to fill out the paperwork for HR. Paperwork included an NDA, Employee Information Form, Appointment Letter, and ADP Direct Deposit Auth. The interview process felt suspicious, but I've applied for hundreds of jobs at the point and I wanted it to be real so I submitted the paperwork and a picture of my drivers license. Later I told my friend (a CTO) that I might have found a job and he told me to contact Dicks to verify because there are job scams going on right now. It took Dicks a few days to get back to me but I just found out it is a scam.
