I went to book a hotel room at the Holiday Inn at Monroeville PA. I went to find the website and I found what looked like the official holiday inn booking website. I booked a room for what seemed like $150/night but at the end of my transaction they tacked on an extra $298.07 in recovery fees and tax. Days before my stay I told my husband how much I spent on the hotel and he was immediately suspicious. We looked into it further and I preceded to try and request a refund with no success because it was “non-refundable”. The company automatically canceled my reservation without my knowledge. We had also called the actual hotel front desk and they confirmed that there was never a reservation under my name at that location.
