Description

This morning 11/21/24 l received several missed Microsoft teams calls on purpose. I received a check delivered from UPS next day Air. Reqroute alerted me again that the check had arrived to me (obviously there tracking the mail). I confirmed (yes) however l'm going to check with my bank if this is legitimate especially the amount it was made out for $4,995.01 when initially told $150. The Reqroute Inc (person) who's chatting through Microsoft teams Justin McCarthy said l'm supposed to deposit the check into my account and take $150 out of the $4995.01 for materials needed for the job. At that point l did contact my bank to inform them of possible scams being done through Microsoft teams. I told the representative about the whole situation. They informed me that l was right not to ever deposit a check in my account of that nature. Please alert people of such tactics being used when people are honestly seeking employment. Hope this helps someone.
