I was contacted by bna this morning I picked up the phone and they continued to tell me that I had applied for a job with them, which I have recently applied to a few jobs but did not remember applying to this one, they then proceeded to ask if I wanted an interview I said sure and they said would today work . I replied yes. Upon researching the company I found on redit that 23 other people had a similar experience. In fact one was even employed by them and cited it as a pyramid scheme in which they were only paid portions of their pay . Curious I called them back and questioned them intensely about how they got my information they could not answer the question only kept saying you applied to us . I asked on what they said we received a notification I said from where at which point they changed the conversation and asked weather I was interested or not I replied no I am not there is not information about y’all or your clients online. They then hurriedly said we wish you the best and hung up . This seems to be quite the predatory practice of trying to get quick interviews and collect personal information. The whole thing seemed odd and suspicious. I narrowed it down to them going after younger people who have recently uploaded their applications to zip recruiter. They only knew my name and had not throughly reviewed my resume. They did not know my education status or the fact that I was still in school nor what I was studying. And that what I was studying wasn’t even marketing but construction.
