Description

A woman named Joyce Wilson who claims to represent Brillo reached out via text message to say they found my resume through Indeed and that they wanted to offer me a remote proofreader position for $45/hr. I replied that I didn’t recall applying to that company. About a week later, she sent another message saying to email Priscilla Pollard the hiring manager to arrange an interview. I figured I’d play along to see what happened. I emailed Priscilla and vaguely said I received a text message telling me to contact her but that I didn’t recall applying to the company. She responded wanting to set up an interview and gave me a decently looking document about Brillio and the position. I responded saying I could potentially interview next week. That’s as far as it’s gotten before I looked online to see if this was a known scam. Not sure if I should continue to fish for info and take them for a ride, or to just drop the whole thing.
