I was a victim of a crypto job scam. It's a job optimization scam where the user completes tasks and is able to withdraw at the end of the 3 sets of tasks with a initial deposit of $150. Everything was find for the first 4 days and then on day 5 is when it all spiraled. A Sophia Mai from Kelly Services reached out via text anc connected me with a "manager" Erin Payne (347)435-9783 from Linkgraph which is a large SEO company was walking me through this whole process. This is all done with BTC or ETH. There was a whole support group where people had pictures of their earning on their laptop, themselves cooking, talking about their weekend etc so they all seems like real people. I ran into a combo app that required some additional USD to clear so I did it knowing I would get it all back since that is what happened on day 1-4 but much smaller amounts (hence the hook) so I did, and the "manager" offered to help with 2K since there are limits on accounts withdrawls on Kreken. The task cleared and then I had one more task to do and BAM it asked me for 25K. LOL when that is when I knew I was scammed. I am looking for legal advice on what to do. Maybe this person can be tracked down and sued, maybe I need supporting documentation and guidance on how to write a loss on taxes this year as it looks like I can since it was a hiring scam. Total loss was about 12K with all the transfer fees back and forth with wires and exchange fees.
