I was looking on TikTok for a work from home job. I found an account under the name Sabrina Jones. She said to email [email protected] to inquire about open positions and I sent my resume as well. I was then directed to text the hiring manager Annie Merrit from Harmony Health at 706-200-2280. She then immediately proceeded to do a text interview. The questions seemed very legit. Then I was informed that I scored 82/100 and was hired. The position was a work from home customer service rep and pay was $32/hr. They also informed me that they would pay off my credit card debt, and they would send me a check to buy equipment. At this point I was 100% sure it was a scam. I asked for a linkedin profile and website for the company. They did not provide a linkedin page, but instead sent me a photo of a Harmony Health badge with a clearly photoshopped photo of a black woman with the name "Annie Merritt" and the words "Interview Manager". The website was vague and had AI images of doctors and medical staff. I called the number on the website, the voice message was spotty and told me that Harmony Health was a software company and not a medical company. I attempted to call "Annie Merritt" and she texted saying that she was not available to speak. She then texted that she needed some info such as my name, number, address. I told her I would provide that info once I received an offer letter. I asked what email the offer letter would be sent by so I can keep an eye out for it. The email she provided was [email protected]. I asked how much money they would be sending and which company should i buy my equipment from. Annie said she had no idea and that it would be included in the offer letter. I googled the address found on the website and there was no Harmony Health associated to that address. I then texted and asked again for a linkedin profile (could not locate her by name or company) and asked how she knew Sabrina Jones from TikTok. Annie responded that she did not have a Linkedin because hers got hacked, and Sabrina Jones is one of their recruiters. Annie's English for the interview questions were clear and concise, but as I asked more questions her English got worse. Also pretty sure "Annie" is a man, likely the same man who left the voice message from the number I called from Harmony Health website. As I asked more questions, "Annie" became frustrated and said that I'm not ready to work for them. I then texted that I'm aware that this is a scam, but they are more than welcome to send the fake check and offer letter so I can show it to the police. "Annie" denies that it's a scam and asked for my banking info. I gave them fake info. Then she proceeds to ask for a photo of my credit card info, which I did not do. Annie says she'll send over the company's routing and account number so I can pay off my debt, which makes no sense. Their bank Info: Independent Financial Bank, routing: 111916326, account: 1200601902, account type: personal checking. I asked why a personal and not business account, she responds that it's a joint personal and business. Annie then proceeds to ask for proof that the credit card was paid off. I said everything seems really suspicious and she sent an annoyed face emoji (very unprofessional). I got bored and texted that I'm very obviously messing with her and won't be doing any of that. She then texts that she's trying to help me and I'm being dumb. I texted back that she's the stupid one for continuing this conversation. Then says that she does credit card repairs and it's 100% legit. I say "I thought you were an interview manager, now you do credit card repairs?" She responds that she also does verified bank drops and linkable cards and we can split the funds 50/50. I tell her she's a dumb c*** and that I obviously won't be doing any of that. She says goodnight. Literally just finished texting her as i'm writing this. Hope this info helps people!
