Description
After applying for a remote transcriber job interest on LinkedIn I was contacted by someone named Sebastian Cruz from Brillio and was told to contact the HR hiring manager for the job. I contacted Lilian Anderson about the hiring process and went through a 30 min timed chat interview through a separate link. I was told to contact them again the next morning and was "hired." The next part of the process was to fill out a w4, emergency contact form, sign a hiring contract, and complete a direct deposit form. After that I was told to deposit a check via email in order to purchase the required equipment for the job. They would not send a check any other way, and was told the "equipment" would be provided by the company, not that I would be purchasing the equipment myself. Multiple steps of this process seemed fishy, I found a similar story on BBB page and stopped correspondence immediately.
