Description
Yesterday,I went through TRAVOPORT, an airline booking agency for my airline ticket. I submitted my credit card information online for a roundtrip ticket. Then I received a suspicious Email from TRAVOPORT that before processing they needed a picture of my credit card and further identification. I replied through an Email that this is suspicious and I will not submit any further information. (The Email was returned ---non deliverable.) I received a call today from the vendor with an accent stating that I am on a recorded line and I am responsible for payement. (Please ask for the transcript.) I said I cancelled due to the request for further information in the Email, and furthermore I wanted a roundtrip ticket and NOT a one way ticket. I told them they were misrepresenting my request. They insisted that I make payment and we can take the information over the phone. I went through the burden of cancelling my credit card which I have had for years. I do not want any further phone calls from TRAVOPORT ,and have ceased any further business with the vendor. However, I do wish others to know about this experience and to be suspect of airline travel brokers such as TRAVOPORT.
