I purchased 4 passenger tickets on June 26, 2024 from Vueling's website for a roundtrip from London Gatwick, UK on July 19,2024 to Barcelona, Spain. Return flight on July 21, 2024 from Barcelona, Spain to London Gatwick, UK. I went to the airport on July 19 and had pre-checked in, so I went through security. After going through security, we noticed the board said to wait for gate number. I waited for the gate number but it never appeared. The outgoing flight was for 10:55 am but there was a global system failure through a CrowdStrike computer outage. As a result, our flight was cancelled that same day. I found out through customer service at the airport that it was cancelled. Vueling did not send a notification saying they cancelled the flight. They only sent a flight change option hours later, around 7 or 8 pm on July 19. Because of the cancellation, I never left the UK. I never received the service I paid for. Vueling refused to refund money and only offered the ability to switch the outgoing flight and not the returning flight. The original trip was only 3 days. The earliest change would've been Sunday evening, which is impossible. I had class Monday morning and a an outgoing flight AFTER the returning flight was not possible. So I did not change it at all. I filed a complaint with Vueling to get reimbursed or get credit for this, but they refused. I filed a claim with Chase, the credit card company I used, but then Vueling provided fraudulent documentation that showed I did board the flight on July 19, the flight that was CANCELED. I tried to even include more information and confirmation I never got on the flight, but Chase sided with Vueling and I never got my money back. I was scammed out of 1048 dollars because Vueling produced fraudulent records claiming I boarded and received a service for the flight. I never left UK. I never boarded the flight. I never received the service because they cancelled.
