Description
Customer came in with a fake coinstar for $602.52. The coinstar unfortunately was cashed and the scammer left the building with about over 588$ and groceries so technically we lost the whole $602.52. The coinstar that was given was printed on real coinstar paper, had all the security features including the scratch on the back and the wavy perforated lines to the right of the voucher, had the correct transaction number, store number and location, as well as time & date. This was one of the realest fakes we’ve ever seen. Had the security measures and all. TODAY, another scammer came in with a fake coinstar. This time the customer was denied considering the fraud we witnessed last night. Her coinstar was also counterfeit and the amount of it was $476.46. The coinstar that was brought in today was the exact same as the other fake that was brought in last night
